this worked for me like a charm.

i had an Orange locked E720.
used the method described above:
enter a sim card you want to use in Samsung E720, type *#9998*3323#. Phone will show last 4 digits as _ _ _ _. After this press the right hand side TOP key (The one has THree DOTS on it). Now press key 7 on your keypad and then press Left Hand Side TOP key (The one has THree DOTS on it). After few seconds your phone will restart and will work with the sim in it.

i sugest people to try this method first as there is no harm in doing so.

also if you cary on and enetr the rest of the method in the first post you will be unable to use the Original Simcard in the phone again.

using the method i posted in this post you can use your NEW simcard and go back to your Original one if you desire.

thanks for the help with my phone .

and i hope i have helped to clear things up for anyone who reads this post.

The method metioned above works perfect. Although this is a temporarry soloution but who cares. I only do the first step which is enter a sim card you want to use in Samsung E720, type *#9998*3323#. Phone will show last 4 digits as ----. After this press the right hand side TOP key (The one has THree DOTS on it). Now press key 7 on your keypad and then press Left Hand Side TOP key (The one has THree DOTS on it). After few seconds your phone will restart and will work with the sim in it. But remember its not unlocked. It will only work untill battery does not die or you dont take it out yourself to change the sim. If it happens then just follow the above method again. The reason I am here is that I misplaced my phone and battery died and I forgot the last 4 didget of code. My phone is working again now. The reason I dont do the second step which is typing in 8 Zeros and another code *0141# because after doing this your orignal sim will not work as normal and you have to enter the password. Thats why I only do the first step untill phone rstarts and works with new sim.

If the above method does not work with your E720 then try the following:

Turn on your phone without sim card in it.

Type #*7337#

If your phone restars in few seconds mean its unlocked. Try a different network sim in it.

GOOD LUCK!
